After 10+ years in the service industry, I was ready for a big life change. I was looking for a company that had a good work/life balance. I was hired as a receptionist at Simpay where I spent a few months getting to know the company when they posted a job for a POS tech Support team member. I applied and was so excited to learn that I was chosen to fill this position. I have been able to grow as a person and an employee to where I am now; a wife, a mother, and I just received my second promotion as a POS Product Specialist. Underwriting Department Manager

In 2009, I applied with Simpay for a data entry position, knowing next to nothing about the credit card processing industry and even less about Underwriting. Within the first year or so, I learned everything I could and was given the opportunity to manage the Underwriting Department. The role seemed like a huge responsibility and the experience was a trial by fire in many ways. Over time, I learned Underwriting through first-hand experiences, tapping into resources, and working closely with my teammates and leaders who helped me grow in the role, both personally and professionally. Over the years, Simpay has given me the freedom to shape the direction of the department and has not penalized me for trying out different approaches along the way, not all of which worked out! It has been a rollercoaster ride - but 12 years later, I feel our department and company are as strong as it has ever been. I am proud to be a part of this amazing team and look forward to the next 12 years.

Payroll Specialist

I joined the Simpay family 5 years ago. I started as a receptionist with no knowledge of the payroll industry. A few weeks after I started, our CEO, Lazaros, asked me where I saw myself progressing in the company and to find where my passion lies. After much thought, I decided I saw myself working in the payroll department. Immediately, the company started spoon-feeding me a few tasks in payroll to see if I liked it. I became extremely interested in the payroll world. The fact that everyone was so nice and easygoing in the payroll department helped as well. They started to show me how to do a few payrolls here and there, and as soon as a position became available, I applied. They did not hesitate to transfer me over, and I could not be happier. I have so much pride in my work and the company, and I am excited to see what the future holds here at Simpay.

Simpay took the time, energy, and money to fly me out to Pennsylvania to meet my fellow teammates and train as a department. Simpay is so flexible, when my husband got a job opportunity in another state far from my offices, they allowed me to work from home and constantly made me feel like part of the team. A little under three years later, I was promoted again and was provided the opportunity to trailblaze a new section under the Customer Service Department in Account Maintenance. For the last year, I have been able to help mold Account Maintenance so it can become its own department as our company grows. I have recently received another promotion and am now our Customer Service Team Lead. I have been with this company for just over 5 years now and have been provided so many opportunities to grow and am so thankful for the trust they have put in me to do so successfully.

In 2012, I applied for a role as a receptionist at a credit card processing company. During the interview, I was asked if I know how to turn on a computer and if so, they wanted to train me for the technical support team which was also hiring. I accepted the opportunity and began my journey with Alpha Card Services (Simpay). At the time, the company didn’t offer much direction in terms of employee growth and development. Fortunately, leadership realized major changes were needed, and with the right management and mentorship, along with changes to the company culture, employees like me were offered new opportunities for growth and advancement. I held many different team roles and received many promotions and I now oversee our risk department. With the right guidance, I grew from a person who came to work just to get paycheck, to an employee who my peers voted as our Personal Excellence Award winner two years in a row.
